Ear Surgery

Ear Surgery or as it’s also known Bat Wing Correction or Otoplasty is a procedure which corrects the position or size of the ear. During the surgery cartilage is removed to bring the ear closer to the head or decrease its size. The procedure takes between 2 and 3 hours to complete and in most cases you will be able to leave the hospital on the same day. Recovery is fairly simple with the dressings being removed roughly 7 days following the surgery. It is not uncommon for the ear to feel numb for up to three months after the procedure.
